Writing Websites

These are some must-know websites for authors.

I don’t know of a more awesome organization than this.  The Office of Letters and Light hosts NaNoWriMo and the NaNoWriMo Young Writer’s Program, and Camp NaNoWriMo.  All of these websites encourage you to write your novel–in a month.  Think it’s impossible?  Tons of people do it every year!

If you’re looking for feedback on your writing, these three sites put your writing out there for other users to comment on.  I’ve had experience with all of them, and I would personally recommend Figment.  Their weekly newsletter always makes me laugh, and they provide you with a lot of contests to help you get recognized.

This website is a different take on the former three.  To post a story you have to have a certain number of credits, which you get by giving other stories critiques of a certain length.  I think this website is really neat, and I’ve had a few good experiences.

Did I miss one?  Let me know!
